Catherine Hiller Martin is a native of Victoria, Texas. She attended the University of Texas in Austin, and in 1979 moved to Baton Rouge, LA, where she has resided ever since. Catherine obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising from L.S.U., as well as a Master’s Degree in Health, Physical Education, Recreation, & Dance (specializing in Dance). While working on her master’s degree, she taught aerobic and dance classes at L.S.U. as a graduate assistant and also performed with L.S.U.’s Modern Dance Theater.
Upon graduation, Catherine went to work in the Health & Fitness industry where she is still employed by Foxy’s Fitness Centers as a group ex. Instructor and their Group Exercise Director for all three club locations. In order to express her creative side, Catherine choreographed musicals & operas for Lee High School, Baton Rouge Magnet High School, and L.S.U. from 1985-2000.
Catherine is married to Sgt. Wayne Martin, the K-9 commander for the Baton Rouge Police Dept. and has three grown children.
In addition to her love for fitness & dance, she also has a passion for real estate and the housing market. In her spare time, she enjoys watching real estate and home design shows on HGTV and loves the idea of helping someone find their dream home. As a result, Catherine decided to pursue a career in real estate, for she has often said “I can do this!” She enjoys helping people reach their goals, whether it be getting into shape by attending one of her classes at the health club, or by helping someone find their perfect home.
